Subject to availability, you may upgrade to a higher category stateroom after you have checked in. The upgrades, if available, are  usually done and paid for at the Pier Coordinator's desk. You can pay for the upgrade wih either credit card, cash or traveller's cheques (information may cary depending on the Cruise Line)
