Excellent stay in Oceanside (north of SD). The hotel is well staffed and amenities provided were abundant. Hotel staff was very professional and it seemed like there was always staff around to take care of something (ex. extra person at the front desk/entrance to check on luggage, answer questions, clean something up, etc.). Plenty of valet staff so that it never took more than 5-10 minutes to get our car (often sooner than the estimated wait time they give you). Plenty of pool staff to help answer questions, take food orders, refill fresh towels and ensure that the pool area stayed clean and that vacant pool loungers were clear of used towels, etc. A lot of detail was also paid attention to as far as the construction and design of the rooms -- everything seemed of quality construction and would last a long time and the "sea" theme was classy, not gimmicky. I'm already looking forward to another stay here in the future and would heartily recommend others to stay here. The service and amenities alone is 5 stars -- very comparable if not better than some "luxury" hotels. Note: you can reserve loungers/cabanas at the pool for a fee here, but I didn't have a problem getting loungers when I went in the morning or afternoon (probably because the staff were so good at clearing vacant loungers). It's nice not to have to stress about stuff like that on vacation. Only cons: beds were uncomfortable and the valet area is undersized for the size of the hotel (they once had to park my car on the street when their valet area was full and I once had to wait 5 minutes from the street to even pull into the valet area). I hope the bed quality improves the next time they purchase beds for the hotel. The valet seems to have enough staff, but because people don't pick up their cars right away, there can be a backlog of cars waiting for their owners.

“Wonderful and well worth it!!!”

Cannot recommend enough!! My husband and I got married the morning of our check in here and came to the resort to celebrate as a mini honeymoon. Cannot recommend enough!! My husband and I got married the morning of our check in here and came to the resort to celebrate as a mini honeymoon. We were immediately congratulated at the front desk and offered a complimentary bottle of champagne. The staff, specifically Miriam and Ryan, were superb!!! They made the whole stay- so kind and accommodating and really made the trip special. They went out of their way to make our stay the best and we couldn’t be happier with it. The rooms were clean and gorgeous. The balcony rooms overlooking the beach were stunning and so relaxing to sit out and listen to the ocean. I could keep rambling but all in all - I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to everyone especially couples - very romantic and lovely.

Beautiful property. Loved how close it was to the beach and pier. The beach amenities were much appreciated. Pool seating is very comfortable. But lots of kid, so seats are hard to come by. Rooms are hot. Sheets are scratchy. Pull out couch bed is not comfortable at all and really squeaky. Shower is nice though. Breakfast was amazing! Fantastic biscuits and gravy. Top 3 for sure, including my Okie grandma’s recipe. Would stay here again.

“Wonderful experience at the Seabird!”

Excellent resort - walk across the street to the beach or walkable to many restaurants and shops. Hotel staff was amazing - we would stay there again. Hotel interior is beautiful and feels very high-end. Highly recommend.
