I manage logistics for group travel and the Carlsbad Inn staff went above and beyond to make sure my group was welcome and cared for. In this particular trip my group stayed in 4 different hotels within a 4 day span. I'm already planning out the same trip for next year, but the the Carlsbad Inn is the ONLY one of the 4 that I immediately rebooked for next year. And it is all thanks to Jeanette and her staff!

My family and I have been coming to Carlsbad Beach Resort for well over 13 years, and it has truly become our home away from home. We return twice every year because the experience is consistently wonderful and the staff genuinely makes us feel like family. What separates this resort from so many others is the people. The staff recognizes us, remembers our family, and always goes out of their way to make us feel welcome. They have literally watched our children grow from little kids into teenagers, and that level of personal connection is something you don’t find very often anymore. The location is incredible. Once you park your car, you really don’t need it again. The beach is about a minute from your room, and during the summer the beach cabana makes the experience even better. There is no need to bring beach chairs, umbrellas, toys, or even towels because the resort provides everything you need. Restaurants, shops, coffee spots, and attractions are all within walking distance. The activities are one of our favorite parts of staying here. From Sangria Saturdays and the Sunday Welcome Back Party to Monday Margaritas and the Friday Bon Voyage gathering, there is always something happening. Throughout the week there are activities for adults, kids, and families. Depending on the week, you might find Movie on the Lawn, root beer float socials, grilled hot dog events, candy sushi classes, bingo, family games, and other fun activities that help bring owners and guests together. The activities team does a fantastic job creating a fun community atmosphere throughout the stay. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped. We especially appreciate that the televisions function like smart TVs, allowing guests to log into their own streaming services. It is a small detail that makes a big difference for families. We also had the opportunity to meet the new General Manager during a gathering this week. He was very personable, approachable, and easy to talk with. We enjoyed our conversation with him and are excited to see where the resort goes under his leadership. If I had one suggestion after all these years, it would be regarding some of the live entertainment music. The performers always do a great job, but much of the music still focuses on the 1950s and 1960s. The ownership demographic has changed quite a bit over the years, and many owners today grew up with the music of the 1980s and 1990s. It would be nice to see more music from those decades incorporated into the playlists while still keeping some of the classics. It feels like a natural evolution that would resonate with a larger portion of today’s owners and guests. Overall, Carlsbad Beach Resort remains one of our favorite places anywhere. The location, activities, amenities, and most importantly the people keep us coming back year after year. After more than a decade of visits, we still look forward to every stay, and that’s probably the best compliment we can give.

“Awesome Service”

Tuesday night Bingo night was awesome !!! Karla was super amazing & welcoming. My friends and I had a great time and are looking forward to going back soon.
