This is our 4th time at the Melia Alicante. We keep returning due to the fantastic central location, and close proximity to the beach and marina. We were welcomed back by Daniel at the Level Reception area, and he went through everything with us even though we have been before, this time we were given wrist bands that acted as room keys, this was new to us but explained as something used only in peak season. As always check in was swift and our room was available immediately which is always nice. For the first time we opted for a marina view, our room was located on the 5th floor, many of the fittings switches and bathroom fixtures and fittings have been replaced with sleek modern black fittings. Beds as always super sized and so comfortable as is the pillow selection. The chocolates and small bottles of water each night were very much appreciated! What we also liked is the ample number of USB ports (A and C) available at bedside and under the wall mounted television. As we had booked a Level room the access to the private lounge is a huge bonus, with ample choice of liquid refreshments and snacks throughout the day as well as a spirits hour between 6-7 when you can make your own cocktails should you wish. The Level Access pool area has limited space and loses the full sun in the afternoon, but shade is welcome at this time of year. Also new is the service around the pool provided by Alejandro, he was so helpful, and was always on hand to help with parasols for shade, refreshing cold drinks and fruit slushies or ice pops. Most welcome on a very hot days. This is an excellent service that we’ve never had before at this Melia. Alejandro is providing a 5 star treatment to all the guests, and always with a smile! I do hope the Melia recognises his potential after the summer season is ended. Checkout also very swift by Hisham, very professional, also a credit to the Melia brand. Thanks again to all of the staff for making our stay a very pleasant one.

“Perfect stay!!!!”

It was mother and son trip to your hotel. I have to say it was one of the best trip I experienced. I loved the service of breakfast and housekeeping team. I stayed in room 203 and I loved the surprise you had arranged for my son’s birthday. I would definitely come back to stay with you.

Mum and Daughter trip and our first time to Alicante. From the moment we arrived, we were treated like royalty. We were escorted through the hotel to the Level where we were greeted by the lovely Alexandra who checked us in smoothly over a lovely glass of bubbles and informed us of all the details of our stay. The hotel has listened to all the pre arrival request which is truly appreciated. The room was amazing with an incredible view over the beach, spacious room with lovely amenities and very clean. The staff are so friendly, everyone greets you and makes you feel so welcome. This really was an incredible stay. The only recommendation I would suggest is for the mattress to be updated with softer mattress toppers but other than this, we cannot fault this hotel, perfect location in and out of the city and we will 100% be returning. Thank you for the best stay

“Great stay in Alicante”

Great central location, especially getting the airport bus which stops about a 2 minute walk away. Room was very clean, spacious and modern. Great central location, especially getting the airport bus which stops about a 2 minute walk away. Room was very clean, spacious and modern. The hotel had an elegant atmosphere in the main entrance area but more relaxed around the pool area. There are limited sun beds around the pool which people reserve with towels. One lifeguard was excellent at monitoring the use of sun beds and when people did not return for extended periods of time the towels were removed which is brilliant. There is a terrace with sun beds which over look the marina and you can walk through to the pool. The hotel was slightly over priced for room only however the location is the selling point. Drinks were quite expensive but cocktails were good. The noise level was mostly fine however on our last evening we heard extensive traffic noise, police whistling and shouting as our room over looked the marina at the front. There is also a slight problem with people sleeping rough right next to the hotel. Overall a great stay!
