Just returned from the Grand Rotana, had a wonderful 3 week stay. The hotel and grounds are immaculate, well done to all the gardeners. Our room was overlooking the pool and sea and was cleaned every day by Ahmed ,thank you Ahmed great job... We ate at all the restaurants and the food and service was excellent big thank you to Yasser,Ahmed and the welcoming smile of Ramissa. Bars are plentiful and always have a drink ready for you. At the pool bar Muhammad and Mustafa are great at the Skye lounge we enjoyed the live music and shows and the staff,Muhammad and Hossam worked tirelessly. If you want a more relaxing evening just sit and listen to some mellow saxophone player and thanks to Domnia in the Isis lounge. All though not many brits at this hotel the incredible animation team always made us feel welcome and I loved their youthful vigour and cheerful nature, Mansour and Diana especially. All in all a lovely hotel with great food and excellent staff .Inna at guest relations was lovely.

Grand Rotana Honest review for a weeks stay from a English couple I have been to Sharm over 14 times and this was my first stay at the Grand Rotana, I must say this hotel is up there with one of the best hotels I’ve used in Sharm, the grounds are lovely, hotel is modern and clean, and there’s always staff on hand to help anyone. Quickly- two members of staff that stood out to us was Mohamed and Mamoud, the sky bar barmen, they were fast, attentive and joyful. Back to the hotel, I feel it doesn’t need modernising in 95% of the areas, it’s fresh and well maintained , the pool is huge and no matter how busy the hotel is, you’ll always find a place to lay for the day. The bar areas are rarely busy but the restaurant can form queues around opening times, bare that in mind More about the restaurants, you get two free al carte meals, we picked the Asian and the Italian, the staff and food and the Asian restaurant was amazing, the Italian restaurant was very disappointing, service and food, avoid. There is a beach restaurant which we had lunch in, that was very good. The main restaurant has lots of food options, lots of meats. Server always sits you down and takes your drink order. Plenty of space but expect rude people pushing in queues, certain nationalities… The room was clean, spacious, modern and fresh. We booked the pool/sea view. There was a few down sides with it though. The shower was hit and miss, often failing with pressure, the shower cubicle also leaked a lot at the bottom of the door, creating a pool of water. The tv remote didn’t work, that had to be fixed, and sometimes rubbish wasn’t cleared from rooms or toilet roll replaced when housekeeping had been, including the robes, that being said, the room showed more positives than negatives. Location- the location is perfect, it’s 10 mins from the airport, 15 mins to Soho and 20 mins to Farsha cafe, there are shops inside or there’s a market run outside the hotel. Security is very high, you always feel safe, and hotel grounds are very protected. One down side, not the hotels fault, we felt one of the salon ladies was unacceptable, wouldn’t take no for a answer, spoke to us twice and didn’t seem to remember who we were, kept trying to touch me or move my sun bed, and ultimately stained the holiday, I hope the hotel look into that. I get trying to sell the pitch to my girlfriend but to start picking faults about her saying sort this and that, it’s not nice. All in all, I 100% recommend the hotel, I would definitely go back.

We had a lovely stay overall, good value and would definitely recommend the hotel, especially for families. The room was comfortable and the staff were consistently friendly, welcoming and engaging. A special mention has to go to Mr A Elrahaman in the main restaurant, who stood out throughout our stay for his positivity, great personality and genuinely excellent service — he really made a difference to our experience. The facilities were good and the pool area was perfect for young children, which made it easy for us to relax. The food was another highlight, with great variety, good availability and consistently high quality across all meals. A couple of small points to be aware of: there isn’t really a traditional beach as such — more a couple of small areas where you can paddle rather than a large sandy stretch. Also, it would be great to see the hotel build on its environmental messaging (like the towel reuse cards) by reducing single-use plastics across the resort. That said, we had a fantastic time and would happily return.
