Stayed here on a two week family of four holiday with two kids, six and eight. The reality is the hotel is a four star review at best, but it would be hard on the staff who are excellent to review less than five. We flew to Barcelona from Bristol and hired a car. It has been essential for us to have some wheels as the hotel is a bit out of the way and we like to explore. The cost of transfers also negates the hire car cost. The small beach is a two minute walk from the hotel but it’s gravelly and limited. Still, nice for a quick dip if you fancy a change. The hotel is situated in a housing urbanisation and has a small shop selling bare essentials. A Spar is about a 40 minute walk and we drove to a supermarket 20 minutes in the car. Within an hour or so there are lots of places to visit and some great walks in the hills. The hotel room was really nice and turned daily. We all slept soundly. The food here is excellent. Loads of choice every day. We were only half board but between breakfast and an evening meal, we were extremely well fed. Reviewers who cite a lack of choice must have huge expectations. Waiting staff and chefs are super efficient; you don’t wait long for a table or for fresh trays of food to be replenished. Loads of things cooked to order. The site is a bit tired. There are lots of pools but as many have said, some of the poolside elements like the zip line are broken and my kids cut their toes on broken pool tiles. That said, the SOS guys were super helpful and professional. The mini golf greens are worn out as are some of the padel courts. The gym is sparse and roof is leaking. None of this would stop us coming back here. We have really enjoyed our holiday; I hope the senior management of Ohtels appreciate the work that their onsite management and staff put into delivering a great guest experience.

Beautiful Hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was amazing and hotel very clean. Would recommend if wanted a quiet family holiday to relax

I don’t even know where to start. We are just back from a 7 night stay and it was honestly an amazing holiday. There was 6 of us, including my two girls who are 8 & 4. The hotel was lovely, clean big spacious rooms, lovely balcony and comfy enough beds. The food was so tasty, couldn’t complain about it at all. Staff in the hotel were lovely. Big shout out to Fatima from the entertainment team, both my girls absolutely loved her and went for lunch and to the mini club a few times with her. She was amazing with them both. The mini disco at night was one of our highlights, the girls learning new Spanish songs/dancing. The pools were great, my girls loved them. 2 of them were closed off when we first arrived but they opened our 2nd last day so we got use of them. The hotel was remote but we knew this before arriving. There was a lovely beach not far from the hotel where we had a drink at the bar and the girls managed to get an ice lolly. There was a shuttle into L’Ampolla which we took full advantage of and went to explore one of the days. You need to book this a day in advance which was fine by us. Overall I cannot fault this hotel. We had the best time and my girls are already desperate to come back.
