We have just come home from a weeks stay at Iberostar Waves Creta Panorama & Mare. The hotel is truly beautiful, The location is picturesque, and the gardens around the hotel are stunning and so well kept. You have 7 different pools to choose from so you won’t ever struggle to get a sun bed unless you want a sunbed at the main pool then it can be a bit of a struggle but you have plenty more pools to choose from. The entertainment staff are brilliant, The evening entertainment is very good and the staff put a lot of love and attention in to their work. We stayed in a family bungalow for a family of 4 and it was perfect, cleaned every day, spacious and very modern. We have stayed in many all inclusive hotels and this hotel is by far the best for food, There was so much choice and the food was great, the only downside was I have a nut allergy and found when it came to deserts it wasn’t always sign posted if the food contained nuts, also they do cater for the children but it would be nice to have a few more options for children on evening. They have an hourly train that runs to take you in to the old village which is lovely, there isn’t a lot to do but worth a visit and they have some lovely bars and restaurants and a lovely beach. a taxi in to the town is about 20/25 minutes and is about 25 euros each way, lots of bars cafes, bars, shops and restaurants and a lovely harbour. We have had a great stay at Iberostar Waves Creta Panorama & Mare and would definitely rerun and recommend.

“Nice stay”

Stayed here for 1 week from may 17th. Stayed in a double priority room, the nicest room we have stayed in on all of our holidays, the whole block was freshly refurbished I believe. Maid service was good, air con on rooms food, and it was nice to get an actual big bed instead of two single beds pus… more

Stayed here for 1 week from may 17th. Stayed in a double priority room, the nicest room we have stayed in on all of our holidays, the whole block was freshly refurbished I believe. Maid service was good, air con on rooms food, and it was nice to get an actual big bed instead of two single beds pushed together like most hotels, we had a decent view of the sea, the whole plot of land is very nice and maintained. Buffet is decent but can become a little boring, maybe offer themed nights or BBQ nights. Entertainment was very good animation team are brilliant, the only bad points were we'd like there to be sunbeds in the waterpark area, there are no straws available with drinks and there is nothing around the hotel within walking distance.

An average, to below average all inclusive hotel. Staff are mostly pleasant and helpful. The rooms are adequate and cleaned to a good standard daily. However, there are no double beds but single beds pushed together. The air conditioning unit was temperamental and the water was not always hot, meaning cold-luke warm showers at times and some night time discomfort. The room contains a fridge, which is useful as we bought our own wine from the hotel shop, which priced things reasonably. There is nothing within walking distance of the hotel, though a bus/train thing that runs back and forth to a local town (Panarmo) every hour. This cost 5 euros per person return. There are a few places to eat and drink there that aren’t too bad. A big negative for us is that smoking is allowed in all public parts. We found this really anti-social, especially when there are lots of little lungs around. We only ate in the main restaurant once and found the food to be of fairly poor quality. All inclusive food can often be challenging, but even by these standards it wasn’t great I’m afraid to say. The breakfast did not fair much better. A big gripe being the only coffee available was instant / Nescafé type stuff dispensed from machines. If you can hold off until 10:00am you can get a proper coffee from the ‘Zorba’ restaurant by the main pool, included in your AI or HB. The drinks at the hotel were also fairly low quality; I ordered a margarita that was clearly made from cheap spirits and tasted nothing like a margarita. I overheard others moan that the drinks were, ‘watered down.’ A couple of nights we were woken at 01:00am by people shouting to one another in the corridor outside our room. I guess this is not the hotel’s fault but something to consider. In summary, this is an all inclusive hotel that pushes towards being average. I wouldn’t stay here again nor would I recommend it.
