With some investment and maintenance, this place could be fantastic. The apartment itself was clean. The crockery and cutlery were spotless, there were new sponges provided for washing up, the bathroom was nice, and we didn't encounter any insects. Overall, I liked the apartment and found it comfortable. However, there were a few disappointing aspects. The €200 security deposit wasn't made clear during the booking process. We were told it was for "excessive damage" and that it would be refunded the day after checkout. Hopefully that process goes smoothly, but it would be better if this was made much more transparent before booking. I was travelling with a child under five, so we were sleeping in separate rooms. During our stay it was extremely hot, and there is no air conditioning. I asked reception if we could borrow two fans, but was told "absolutely not" by a male receptionist in a dismissive way, which made me feel as though my request was unreasonable. We were only given one fan, so my daughter had that while the rest of us struggled to sleep in the heat. Reception is only open during limited hours and closes at 8:00 pm. Families are only given one key, so if you were to lose it outside reception hours, it could be a real problem. The apartment could also do with some maintenance. There was green mould on the balcony, and there were marks and scuffs on many of the walls. Despite these issues, the apartment was clean, the location was excellent, and with a little more investment in maintenance, better communication about the security deposit, and improved customer service, this could easily be a great place to stay.
