Abu Dhabi and Zanzibar

Discover luxury in Abu Dhabi and relax on the island of Zanzibar

With this combination you will have the opportunity to explore two fantastic places at your leisure: Abu Dhabi, which is home to the nation's capital, the attractive city of the same name, and a destination already famous throughout the world. The city of Abu Dhabi extends on a T-shaped island located southeast of the Persian Gulf, with wide avenues, immense office buildings, apartment skyscrapers, avant-garde hotels and the most lively and varied shops. Stroll along its main thoroughfares such as The Corniche, Airport Road, Sheikh Zayed Street, Hamdan Street and Khalifa Street, and discover what kind of businesses they house. Admire its most emblematic buildings, such as the Qasr al-Hosn, or White Fort, the headquarters of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and its Cultural Foundation, and the Palace hotel, the most expensive ever built. Let yourself go and enjoy the pleasures that this corner of the desert gladly offers.

And the island of Zanzibar, with its immense white sand beaches and turquoise waters. What more could you ask for?

Important remarks

- As per new security regulations, all passengers visiting United Arab Emirates (organised or otherwise) must carry an identification at all times: either an original passport or a photocopy of it is sufficient.

- United Arab Emirates is a Muslim country and the month of Ramadan is of major significance to its residents. During Ramadan, entertainment and alcohol will be restricted in most of the country. The sale of alcohol will be restricted in many places, although some establishments will offer alcohol for sale to tourists. During this period, local businesses may also have shorter opening hours.

- Check-in time at the hotel on the day of arrival depends on each establishment, but in no case will it be before 3:00 p.m., unless otherwise indicated.

- In public places in Zanzibar, tourists must cover their bodies from shoulders to knees (both men and women). Failure to comply with these regulations can lead to fines of up to 700 dollars, or even more.

- Hoteles in Tanzania do not have official star category.

- Please check with your international vaccination centre about the recommended healthcare measures in Tanzania.

- It is recommended to avoid storing belongings in plastic bags both in checked bags and in hand luggage before flying to Tanzania. In this country you can not introduce any type of plastic bag. Failure to comply with the law can lead to fines and up to two years in jail.

- From 01ST October 2024, it is mandatory to obtain in advance and online the Inbound Travel Insurance to enter the island of Zanzibar. This insurance must be obtained through the website www.visitzanzibar.go.tz, where once registration and payment have been completed, a QR code will be provided which must be presented before embarking for Zanzibar.

- Triple rooms in Africa are generally rooms with twin beds or a double, in which a folding bed is installed to accommodate the third person. Due to the inconvenience this causes, we advise against using this option as far the possible.

- A credit card is considered a guarantee, so sometimes you will need one for check-in at hotels.

- Hotels usually have cots available. Otherwise, babies will have to share a bed with an adult.

- Consult the necessary documentation to enter the destinations visited and for transit in the countries where air stopovers are made.
