Day 1: Departure with destination Montevideo. Night on board.

Day 2: Arrival and transfer to hotel. Today, we'll set out on a full sightseeing tour of the southernmost capital of Latin America. Its coast dotted with magnificent beaches lies on the banks of the River Plate, where an excellent bay forms a natural deep-water harbour. The tour will take us to the main tourist attractions in the city:Plaza Independencia, the Executive Tower (workplace of the President of Uruguay), the Palacio Salvo, Solis Theatre, the Mercado del Puerto market, the Agricultural Market, the Palacio Legislativo, the Obelisco a los Constituyentes, Centennial Stadium, and much more. In short, a guided tour through the city's most beautiful neighbourhoods. We'll head back along the Rambla de Montevideo, stopping off at the Plaza Virgilio to admire one of the most stunning panoramic views of the city and its coastline. We can then choose to stay at the Punta Carretas shopping centre, located in one of Montevideo's most beautiful districts, or return to the hotel. Overnight stay.

Montevideo (Chasing the Wine Trail's footsteps)

Day 3: Breakfast. Today we'll discover the culture of wine. We'll do so by visiting one of the most important wineries in Montevideo:Bouza. Here we can wander around the vineyard and savour its excellent wines paired with an assortment of cheeses and cold meats. We can also admire the collection of classic cars inside the property. Once finished, we'll return to the hotel and have the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay.

Montevideo (Night of Milongas)

Day 4: Breakfast. Day at leisure to continue exploring Montevideo. In the evening, we'll head over to El Milongon to enjoy a night full of music and local culture. Evening meal included. Throughout the show, renowned icons of popular culture will take the stage to perform candombe, tango, milonga and folk dances, while we'll be enjoying a typical dinner washed down with wonderful wines. Overnight stay.

Montevideo - Punta del Este

Day 5: Breakfast. Departure to Punta del Este. En route we'll stop off in the picturesque Piriápolis and take a chairlift up to the Cerro San Antonio, which commands simply stunning views. Continuing eastwards, in Punta Ballena we'll visit one of the architectural and artistic treasures of Latin America:Casapueblo (entrance not included). Onward journey to Barra de Maldonado where we'll cross its undulating bridge and head back to the peninsula along Playa Brava. Overnight stay.

Day 6: Breakfast. Bike ride with local guide, stopping of at the most iconic points of Punta del Este. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Punta del Este (José Ignacio)

Day 7: Breakfast. More time to discover eastern Uruguay and its unspoilt beaches. One of the most stunning is José Ignacio. On this outing, we'll head along the Atlantic coast towards the east of Maldonado, stopping off at art galleries and museums until reaching the easternmost resort in the country, which fuses an attractive feeling of peace created by the wonderful Atlantic landscape with the exclusivity and the luxury of a VIP holiday destination. Return journey to Punta del Este. Overnight stay.

Day 8: Breakfast. Transfer to Montevideo. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

Montevideo - Colonia del Sacramento

Day 9: Breakfast. A cultural journey through the history of the conquest and colonisation of River Plate. Soak up the charms of the only city of Portuguese origin in the present-day Republic of Uruguay. We'll visit the fascinating city of Nueva Helvecia (aka New Switzerland) and then head to Colonia del Sacramento. Its historic quarter was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995. The iconic landmarks of the city are the unmistakable walls and defensive bastions. We'll also visit the Rambla Costanera, the Real de San Carlos with its former bullring, the Church of San Benito and residential neighbourhoods in the city. And then we'll take a fantastic stroll to discover the magical cultural wealth found here. Overnight stay.

Day 10: Breakfast. We'll continue exploring this magical city today, with a delicious lunch (included) at a typical restaurant in the historic quarter. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight stay.

Day 11: Breakfast. Transfer to the port of Colonia to take the ferry to Buenos Aires. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay.

Sightseeing tour of the city to discover some of its most significant landmarks such as the Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada, the Cabildo and the Cathedral, its main avenues, Avenida de Mayo, Calle Florida and Plaza San Martin, as well as its famous neighbourhoods such as La Boca, San Telmo, Palermo and Recoleta, each with their own unique features and marked contrasts, from modern and residential to older and more colourful. End of the tour and return journey to the hotel. Overnight stay.
