Hello HOVIMA La Pinta, nice to see you all again and be back again! We usually stay at this hotel 2-3 times a year. Generally we stay in the Excellence apartments and eat in the A La Carte restaurant which we love, but we booked this so last minute for a birthday retreat, we are staying in a 1 bedroom family room. We love it!! Couldn't have gotten a better location. Patio doors to private balcony which leads directly onto the childrens splash pool and pool area, my 6 year olds favourite. Then our front door leads directly to the big chess board game which is the 2nd favourite, then just a few steps away from the soft play the 3rd favourite. As for the adults, our 1 bedroom family apartment is just a few steps to the steps down to walkway leading directly onto the beach. Also easy access for breakfast and dinner as we are half board plus. This is possibly our second time eating in the buffet restaurant and the food has improved so much and very much enjoyed every night. Having drinks with our dinner has been a bonus too. Great to see all the positive changes and cant wait to come back and see the new stage area and opening of the jungle path again. Nice too more things have been put in the garden area where the basket ball/football pitch is, with the pool/snooker table, dart board and small slide and play house etc, a bigger slide for older kids would be good too and seasaw for when soft play and pools are closed. On this holiday we've been staying mostly on the hotel complex enjoying the hotel and its amenities. Hope to be back very soon.

Just back from a 9 night stay at this hotel and it’s fab. Already looking to go back. Big shout out to Daniel and David who were amazing with my kids. The guys at night on the cocktail bar were brilliant too and all of the reception staff were fantastic with myself and my kids and very welcoming and friendly and the interactive underwater screen in reception was a big hit with all the kids. Everyone was great but was defo a few stand outs who love their job which shows! I don’t know all their names only a couple. Hotel is great only a couple of downfalls in my opinion… 1: the food but it’s the same in all inclusive everywhere in my own experiences, repetitive and bland but always something to eat for everyone and fresh. They did try to change it up but we did find it a bit bland. 2: the lift in major need of repair sounds very dodgy and one out of use meaning the people on ground floors all waiting on lifts. I could comment on the sun bed wars but that’s not the hotels fault that’s the pathetic guests who feel the need to run and fight over a bed when there was always plenty to go around. Cueing up from 8am for it to open around 8:40 and running to claim them ! Unreal. Especially when half these people go out for the day and don’t use them. We didn’t get to experience the foam party which I was a bit gutted about as kids were buzzing for it seeing it all on social media. The place was closing on our last day and no cocktails were available from the night before and limited drinks ect. And still charged to keep the room on €40 till 6pm even tho it was all closed down and were packing up right up till we left which they kept very quiet about. I only found this out from one of the entertainment team who told my daughter it’s closed till 30th September for renovations. Entertainment team were great and we only watched a few of the shows at night but they were pretty good. Kids didn’t attend the kids club or baby club so I can’t comment but the hotel is defo built with kids in mind and lots to do around for them. We had the ground floor pool facing family rooms and they were great for us having a 10 month old baby who just started to toddle about so he preferred to be inside the hotel most of the day playing when we got to sit on the porch in the sun. Only a couple steps away from the splash park which was amazing for smaller kids. Take raid with you as to be expected you will experience cockroach’s. Can’t be helped but raid helped massively. Found most of ours coming from the drain in the porch. It’s very central so you do get some noise up till maybe 12pm from surrounding bars but we enjoyed listening to the music on the porch at night with a couple of drinks and when doors closed you can’t hear nothing. Air con in rooms was great and it stayed it didn’t have it in the bedroom but it did. Take your own bottle opener for the mini bar (which was topped up daily free) as ours was a nightmare to use. Access to the beach is down steps right in front of the pool which was great unless you have a buggy and have to lift it but was always someone willing to help us. Beautiful beach too and we done the inflatable assault course out front of the hotel for €25pp and this lasted from morning till 7pm at night and could go away and return as long as you kept your band on. Fun!! Overall we had the best time away at this hotel and would go back but i do feel it’s slightly over priced for what you get.

Excellent hotel. Food excellent, rooms good, spacious. air con in room not brilliant. Good entertainment. Shame not open air entertainment as room got very warm at night. Get down to pool area for 8.15 to reserve sun bed or you won’t get one. Pool opens 9am but some days a bit earlier. All staff worked hard. Hotel kept spotless. Main pool small for size of hotel. Floaties only aloud in kids pool which was very overcrowded all day. Overall, Great holiday had by all.

In saying that All the staff we kind and helpful. Will definitely revisit this resort Buffet was a large selection something for everyone just depends on how fussy you are. There is a rush for the sun beds in the morning but hey, it’s what brits do best Gracias, HOVIMA La Pinta
