“Perfect family holiday”

We had a great stay. We stayed in an apartment, with a private balcony area, rooms are great, cleaners all lovely and did a great job everyday. Hotel complex itself was really pretty and food was good, what you would expect for an all inclusive hotel really. Pool area nice and we always got a sunbed but it was October. I wouldn’t come in school holidays as I can imagine it is chaos. No complaints really, apart for a noisy German family above partying until 4am but the staff soon shut it down when we called reception. A perfect place for a family holiday. Location is great, right next to where market is and 2 shopping centres. Taxis right outside, 5 min taxi ride to Siam park and mall, the hotel has everything you need for a stay.

It's a long time since we've stayed in a hotel at half board and I was a bit apprehensive, but fortunately I needn't of been worried. The positives: The " village" is spotlessly clean and well maintained. The pools are very nice, however during the second half of our stay Scottish schools broke up and so they got considerably busier and louder! However there is another pool that was much quieter. The food was exceptional! I can't emphasise how surprised I was at the quality and variety it was a joy to eat there. The apartment was good and spacious, especially the bedroom. The negatives: There's not many, perhaps my biggest gripe was the standard of bathroom was very tired. Our bath was once an enamelled cast iron, several attempts to paint it and fill it made the bathroom look awful. It's a little further away from the centre that we are use to, so was a bit of a trek. What really wound me up was the lighting on the balconies are on a timer. They come on at a certain time and go off at 11pm!!! So your sat there enjoying a glass if wine and a chat or playing cards with your son and then suddenly you're plunged into darkness!!!! You have no control over them, there's no switch to turn them on. It's like being at school " lights out and to sleep children " I mean come on, part of having a balcony is so you can sit out there as long as you want to. So all in all it was very enjoyable and if the management reads these reviews then take my considered criticism seriously.

I have just returned from a family holiday at GFIsabel. We were a group of 11, age range from 4 to 71. We have had a great time and would stay at this hotel again. Some of us stayed in apartments which had lovely sea and pool views. The apartments had plenty of room and were cleaned every day. A couple of our group stayed in a bungalow which again had plenty of room but no views and didn't get any sun. However I think this is because of where the bungalow was located (near reception). Most days there were plenty of sunbeds available round the main pool. I liked that the sunbeds were not available until 10. Three pools in total so if no sunbeds available round the main pool there was availabity around the other two. There was plenty of choice of food at meal times. The restaurant staff always accomodated the 11 of us being seated together. My only negative comment on the dining room is that it can get very hot so maybe some additional ceiling fans would help. The daytime and evening entertainment was good. Reception staff always helpful and no problem getting a taxi. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk to the beach, bars and restaurants. A 15 to 20 minute walk to the marina.
