I travelled recently as just myself and my 5 year old and I didn’t really know what to expect. However, I wanted to leave a review as it really was a lovely place. The entrance and reception is so clean and started out holiday off perfectly. Our room was luckily available before normal check in time but they had already said we could leave our luggage safely at reception if needed. The room was lovely and spacious. We had a studio room and the bed was huge. The balcony was great, we had one looking over the pool but could see the beach too. The pool was nice and big, a large one and a smaller “baby” pool. The area was clean and never really had an issue with getting a sun bed next to the pool. If anyone tried to save a bed the lifeguard would remove towels after an hour or so. There were some toys and inflatables around that everyone could use but everyone also seemed to share what they had brought. You can get pool towels for free as well if needed. The pool bar had good reasonably priced drinks and also ice creams/smoothies. I didn’t try the food. There is a back entrance from the hotel straight to the beach side which was so handy, could be at restaurant and beaches so quickly which with a round child is very helpful. Good range of restaurants and bars and also a spar within walking distance if you want essentials for cooking in the room. We booked the breakfast and I have to say it was fantastic. All the options! The staff were all so friendly. My child hurt himself whilst out and I asked at reception for an ice pack and they were very helpful. My only criticisms really is the WiFi is shocking 🤣 it would also have been nice to spend more time at hotel in the evening. There was a couple of nights of live music but there was not really anyone there so not much atmosphere, but as said there is plenty close by and we weren’t short of things to do. I will certainly be returning in the future

Lovely hotel clean rooms Lovely location. A big shout out to fabian the waiter for all he did fur us ( remembering your drinks top bloke) only down side is patchy wifi and the bacon for breakfast was not the best also no mirrors in main bedroom for my wife to get ready in ( drying her hair) . A big shout out to fabian the waiter for all he did fur us ( remembering your drinks top bloke) only down side is patchy wifi and the bacon for breakfast was not the best also no mirrors in main bedroom for my wife to get ready in ( drying her hair) . Signs for hotel could be better as you think it's leading you to a restaurant.

“Disappointed. Not impressed.”

The hotel is clean and friendly but renovation work is creating noise all day long While your trying to relax at the pool etc.😩 So we went to the beach. The breakfast is good with plenty of choice but everything is so spread out. The location is also close to local bars etc so very noisy at night … more

The breakfast is good with plenty of choice but everything is so spread out. The location is also close to local bars etc so very noisy at night ☹️. The pool. Clearly states no ball games & no diving as the pool is shallow all over. But kids and adults were diving in playing ball games and the life guard was no where in site. He was Hiding in a box room to stay out of the sun. 😩.The unbelievable bit was when the staff did not know where the Curtesy room was. It took 3 of them to find it. 😳. Shows how often it’s used. 😩. Then when they found it. It’s just a shower room by the pool & Because it had not been used for so long the drains were dry and the place smelled terribly. All in all. We won’t be going back. I would struggle to give this hotel 3 stars.

“Avoid at all cost”

We stupidly signed up to a holiday scam which is being run from this hotel, they sold it to us on the pretence that it was inputting money to the island, following covid. We stupidly signed up to a holiday scam which is being run from this hotel, they sold it to us on the pretence that it was inputting money to the island, following covid. We were shown round Flamingo Beachmate & told we could stay there for a week other, and shown photos of other Beachmate properties in the Canary Islands, that we could book. We managed to book a week at the Flamingo Beachmate which was clean & comfortable, during our stay they asked for more money to upgrade for further stays, at other properties, we declined as availability for decent accommodation was limited. Unfortunately availability has never happened as what is on offer is properties of a poor standard. Now we can not even view availability & emails are returned.
