We have just returned back from a fantastic two week holiday at this hotel. The staff at the reception were very kind and helpful, we were booked into a ground floor room around the pool area. Lots of loud music during the day but it finished by 23.00. It didn’t bother us. The room was great for what we needed. With a TV, fridge, air conditioning, safe, hot shower, soap, shower gel, shampoo / conditioner sachets and a clean toilet. The single beds sheets clean and changed regularly. Two bottles of water given to us each night. You didn’t need a kettle in the room as drinks were available throughout the hotel. The bins emptied every day, floor/toilet cleaned and beds made. The young cleaners were so polite and worked very so hard throughout the day. The Egyptian food at the restaurant was delicious and very well organised with lots of fresh produce, bread and pastries all made in the kitchen With hours of preparation by the chef’s Lots of fresh salad, vegetarian/BBQ meat /fish options which changed daily. The chicken and meat was served by a chef so as to be served fairly. Plenty of fresh fruit and deserts available. Self service, tea, coffee and juice available in the restaurant. All the staff were friendly, we learnt a lot about the Egyptian culture and food. There are two pools, the small one I believe was heated but never tried it. We were quite happy using the large pool which was cold but ideal to cool down in the heat. Pools cleaned every night and I had no tummy bug from the pool water. Again the life guards very attentive making sure everyone was safe and happy. The weather was lovely and hot between 25 and 30 degrees. The sea was about a 10 minute walk down the road to a lovely quieter private area which you had to pay an entrance fee for. Or a free 10 minute bus ride from the hotel in another area for us to use for free. The entertainment team tried hard to encourage everyone to join in, a stretching class, Zumba, volley ball, darts and water aerobics all held around the pool area. The evening entertainment was held In the amphitheater and on Sunday the team took us to the SOHO/large shopping area to watch a musical fountain and see the xmas lights. I was lucky enough to have three body massages at the spar, the young Egyptian lady was brilliant and it wasn’t that expensive. Now for the drinks… local spirts and soft drinks are free. If you wanted a beer or wine this would cost you but that was ok I wasn’t there for the alcohol. Although the hotel is looking a little tired it has a marvellous new owner who sat and chatted with the guests during our stay, he is very keen to revamp the hotel infact there was lots of painting and cleaning going on already. Also he has lots of exciting new plans. I would just like to say the staff were amazing, happy, helpful and made our holiday, hopefully I shall be returning next year with the rest of my family.
