From the very beginning, our stay at Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh felt special. Our driver who picked us up at the airport was extremely friendly and professional. To our surprise, he was waiting for us in a Mercedes-Maybach, even though we had originally booked a smaller car. We were among the first to leave the airport, and he told us that he had time and could already take us to the resort. The return transfer to the airport was just as pleasant and comfortable. We were told that this is the largest Four Seasons in Europe and Africa, and you can really feel the size of the property. The grounds are huge, but the resort has a very friendly golf cart service that you can call at any time to take you from A to B, which works very well. First of all, I really want to say thank you to the front desk. At check-in, I asked the friendly receptionist about the price for a possible upgrade, because we had booked a room with partial sea view and I thought I had booked full sea view. When I asked about the upgrade price, she smiled and told me that we had already been upgraded. I was completely surprised and didn’t realize at first what that meant – they had given us a beautiful suite with a private pool as a complimentary upgrade. This was an extraordinarily kind gesture and really made our stay special. Thank you very much for that. We were then taken by golf cart to our suite, which was about 8 minutes walk distance away. Unfortunately, I don’t remember the name of the driver, but he had very short hair (or was bald) and wore glasses. We rode with him several times during our stay, and he was always extremely friendly, cheerful, and full of positive energy. His attitude really lifted our mood and added something extra to the whole experience. The suite itself was perfect: very cozy, quiet, and with a great sense of privacy. We had a very comfortable bed, two large TVs (which we barely used), two showers, a nice living area, and of course our own private pool. Nothing was missing – everything felt well thought out and of high quality, exactly what you would hope for from a Four Seasons stay. We ordered in-room dining once, and the food was excellent. We also called to have someone check the temperature and settings of our private pool, and the technician who came was very friendly and helpful. In fact, everyone we met – from housekeeping to technical staff to drivers – was consistently respectful, professional, and kind. One evening we had dinner at Bullona restaurant, where we were treated very courteously and the food was excellent. The restaurant is located by a small lake, and in the evening the whole setting – the water, the lights and the surroundings – looked beautiful and created a very special atmosphere. We also used the beach area with the platform into the sea, where a lifeguard was always present and keeping an eye on the swimmers. In a marked-off area you can comfortably swim in water up to around seven metres deep. I believe there is also a larger main beach section belonging to the hotel a bit further away, but we never went there. From our area, the sun loungers were always available and very comfortable, and we were immediately brought a cool box with ice and water. The small tables next to the loungers had a button you could press whenever you needed something, and staff would come to take orders for drinks or snacks. Again, the staff here were extremely friendly and attentive. Near the area where our suite was located, there is also a kind of small tram/funicular that takes guests down to the beach level and back up again. We really wanted to try it, but unfortunately it was under maintenance during our stay – maybe next time. Breakfast at the resort was truly first class, both in terms of variety and in taste and quality. We absolutely loved it. There are two different venues where you can have breakfast, and we were told that the breakfast offering is the same in both, which is very convenient. I honestly cannot imagine a better place to stay in Sharm El Sheikh than the Four Seasons. It was our first ever Four Seasons stay, and we arrived with very high expectations. Not only were these expectations fully met, they were even exceeded. In the past, Four Seasons hotels had often been on our shortlist and we ended up choosing other brands – but after this experience in Sharm El Sheikh, we will gladly choose Four Seasons again in the future. Thank you, Four Seasons Sharm El Sheikh – this stay really left a lasting impression on us.

We are an older, well-travelled, couple and we usually stay in superior hotels. This was our first visit to Sharm El Sheikh. I don’t know why I picked the Four Seasons Resort from all that was available, but I am very glad that I did. From arrival to departure, we were reassured by the standard of security; the checks were always done respectfully and did not conflict with the grandeur of the resort. The palm-lined drive from the front gate to the reception was always impressive, on entrance and exit. On our arrival, the welcome was warm and the floral arrangement was eye-catching. After a full day of travelling, we were keen to make dinner arrangements but could not get clear information from the concierge about what was actually available to us for our first evening. We resolved this ourselves by randomly going to a restaurant and asking an excellent maître d' to accommodate us, and she immediately got us a table at our preferred restaurant. The concierge team were very helpful for the rest of our stay. We paid extra for a sea view room. The room we were allocated was large with high ceilings. It was closer to a suite in size - with dressing, bathing, and toilet areas nicely separated. The bed was spacious and so was the balcony. The room was a bit tired but it was always an absolute pleasure to return to. I would recommend that the easy chair with the matching footstool be re-covered, and something done to install power points at both sides of the bed. We arrived at night and immediately appreciated the peaceful, quiet, elegant atmosphere. I would recommend more lighting on the stone steps, I used the torch on my phone a couple of times! During the day the resort’s meticulously manicured gardens were totally impressive and a joy to stroll through. There were golf carts galore, to take us everywhere, but we preferred to walk through the grounds. The staff were attentive, well trained in their specific role or specialism, and sincere in their friendliness. They took the guest experience personally. Ultimately we were ‘paying customers’ who were treated as ‘welcomed guests’. We experienced a couple of notable glitches: on our second night we had the best turn down service we have ever experienced, but on the third day the room was not serviced at all until I finally asked for it to be serviced! There was a delightful selection of coffee, tea and treats but these were not restocked, by our fourth day the choice was to share a tea bag or request a restock! These were minor nuisances, but the quality of service was so good that these inconveniences stood out. We booked five nights which included breakfast in the Arabesque or Zitouni restaurants. The breakfast was varied, tasty, fresh, and healthy food. I particularly liked the fruits being prepared to order. The Arabesque was larger, and included a population of birds. I would recommend finding a solution to separate birds from food. At the Arabesque, I only took food that was covered or prepared for me. Zitouni was laid out to appear more intimate and was completely bird-free. I ate very well in both restaurants. Breakfast was served until 11am, so we had time to visit the gym or walk on the beach before enjoying a leisurely breakfast. We made the most of our time with activities and yet we felt rested and relaxed throughout our holiday because the resort was so peaceful. We took a couple of resort recommend excursions, and also travelled independently to the lively, tourist hotspot, Naama Bay (about £20 return cab fare). We dined in some of the resort restaurants (all pricy but the food notable for freshness), we spent time on the beach with drinks, and I had a spa treatment. We enjoyed the evening entertainment in the Citadel Lounge (though it finishes a little too early). We walked out to the dazzling Soho Square and even watched football in a pub. The resort is noticeably pricy but extras are not essential for a great holiday. There are cheaper options for food and activities in nearby Soho Square. With any resort or cruise holiday, it is best to set a spending limit and stick to it. The hotel seemed to attract an international and eclectic mix of people; we meet honeymooners, people celebrating birthdays, families, and people who were there for sports. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Four Seasons Resort, Sharm El Sheikh and would return.

Overall a great experience - clean facilities, excellent breakfasts, two gyms, two beaches, and a fabulous spa that is free to use. Particularly appreciated the treats on the beach throughout the day - sunglass cleaning, granitas, fruit skewers, etc. - and always served with a smile. I wish I recal… more

Overall a great experience - clean facilities, excellent breakfasts, two gyms, two beaches, and a fabulous spa that is free to use. Particularly appreciated the treats on the beach throughout the day - sunglass cleaning, granitas, fruit skewers, etc. - and always served with a smile. I wish I recalled his name to say thank you. I ate either room service or at The Grill who always looked after me wonderfully. I am coeliac but never had an issue. The drop in one star is due to a couple of niggles. I never left the resort but had my first stomach bug in Egypt - this is hard to avoid in Egypt but I would have thought unlikely. The service, while firendly and helpful, was a little too much at times - e.g. I often struggled to finish one bite of food at breakfast without being asked multiple times how I am. The final reason is that I was due to receive a complementary upgrade but needed to ask several times before it came to fruition on my third day. I would return for R&R - the spa treatments and friendly staff were a plus.
