“My experience at Coral Hill”

Great Hotel, enjoyed the food, room was nice and clean. Overall staff was friendly, just the entertainment staff hustle too much like street vendors.

The food was consistently bland, repetitive, and far below acceptable standards. Breakfast consisted of only two types of cereal, basic pastries, vegetables, steamed sausages, and instant coffee. Water was rationed and served in tiny shot-glass portions. Lunch was almost always plain pasta, rice, and some form of chicken or fish with no variety. Dinner was extremely unreliable — some nights were barely edible, forcing us to leave the hotel to find food elsewhere, often at McDonald’s. The so-called “all-inclusive drinks” package is misleading. Each beer request resulted in half a bottle of cheap local Egyptian beer, while any branded drinks such as Desperados or Stella required extra payment. In reality, anything with a recognisable brand was not included. Our stay started poorly with a stressful check-in, where we had to argue with reception just to receive the rooms we had already paid for. Throughout the holiday, staff constantly harassed guests to purchase items from in-house shops or participate in activities. This behaviour frequently crossed the line into aggression. On one occasion, I was physically thrown into a freezing cold pool by the neck after refusing to take part in an activity. There was also a massage worker who wandered around the pool disturbing guests, even putting Q-tips in people’s ears to pretend it was a fly while they were trying to relax — completely unacceptable behaviour. The rooms were basic and poorly maintained. Although advertised as being cleaned daily, the bed sheets often contained bed bugs, resulting in bites all over my body — these were absolutely not mosquito bites. This is a serious hygiene issue. To make matters worse, the hotel decided to renovate the entire floor above our room during our stay, with loud construction work from 8am until as late as 11pm on some days. This included replacing tiles, doors, and bathrooms, making it nearly impossible to rest. Reception showed no concern and offered no solution, instead telling us to go away. The only positive aspect of this holiday was the outstanding service provided by Mo and Moustafa at the pool bar. Their professionalism, friendliness, and hospitality were the only reason the stay was even tolerable. They truly deserve recognition and a pay rise. Unfortunately, the rest of the staff urgently need proper training to meet even basic customer service standards.

Recently visited coral hill resort in sharm the hotel was lovely, but dated but in general not bad at all, was clean! We had a wonderful experience with Mohamed and Mostafa who work at the pool bar, both very friendly and helpful, they both went above and beyond for us, for the money they earn they really do work hard and have everyone’s interests at heart, amazing people. Thank god for them, there was also a young lady on the entertainment team called mirra she was very friendly and approachable. Cons of this place, 90% of the staff are arrogant and only interested if your female so they can constantly perv over you, was disturbing to watch, food was poor so were the drinks so the all inclusive wasn’t a cheap way as we had to eat out and pay for drinks that wasn’t included. Chefs were pigs and I heard one of them refuse a young woman food until she said she loves him! This was noted to management and nothing was done about it! So yea apart from the beautiful weather and Mohamed and Mostafa it wasn’t a great experience. Also word of warning if you are female please keep your wits about you coz the staff are very persistent and don’t care about chatting to young girls and girlfriends. Real shame coz the place has amazing potential
