Location perfect. Right on the beach Staff always helpful and polite Checking in was simple. We arrived about 8.30 in the evening. They told us to go get some food then sort rooms after which is what we did We had booked the standard rooms and was going to upgrade if needed. It wasn’t needed yes they were a bit dated but everything worked and it wasn’t needed yes very clean and kept very clean too Food was great always found something tasty to eat. Pools were so nice and plenty of them never had a problem getting a sunbed either by the pool or on the beach Will definitely return to this hotel

we wanted a 'cheapy' holiday to get away from the cold British winter for a week. This had mainly good reviews and certainly looked good value at around £550 each for AI. We went with a friend who had her own room booked. I emailed the hotel to request that both rooms could be close to each other. My email was bounced back with the issue cited as 'mailbox full'. How can a hotel chain like that not read their emails. Maybe that should have raised a red flag before we even got there. Anyway, on to the positives first. The hotel itself was quite nice. We had a seaview/pool view room. The room was spacy and fine. There was a fridge but it was empty. We were allotted 2 small bottles of water a day. In other hotels we have never had an issue with getting extra water but here it seems it was 2 and 2 only. We asked for a bottle at the pool bar and was told glasses only. But, to be fair the two was enough for tea/coffee and water at night. The pool area was large and well presented. Clean and tidy. No issues getting sunbeds although we noticed a number of people doing the usual reserving beds with their towels despite being asked not to do so. Now the not so good. A number of reviews I had read criticise the food and drink. One person raved about it giving it 10 out of 10. Seriously, the food was luke warm at best. Very samey. The chicken and beef dishes had meat which was grisly and chewy. I notice that in a lot of Spanish hotels they have microwaves in the food area. This hotel needed this. Having hot food would have made a difference. We have access to the speciality restaurants twice in our 7 days. We picked the Italian both times because the others were outside and it was quite chilly at night. The first time the food was nice. The second time it was barely passable. How can it differ so much? The drink was local stuff and really very poor. We tried a few things and decided the wine was the least horrible. Now, mid holiday we found out that there was a 'ultra AI' option from another guest. This may have been a totally different affair. This leads to another issue. The check-in desk experience was really not good. There was no information offered for anything. Quite often when you check-in you get shown a map of the campus and things like restaurants etc are pointed out, also options like ultra AI upgrades. Hotels don't miss an opportunity to upsel. Not here. He really looked like it was end of the day and he just wanted to go home. Other reviews praise the staff. My observation is that most are friendly and helpful but others really couldn't care. As mentioned the pool area was fine. But the music blaring out often was not suitable for a family hotel. Quite often we were hearing rappers talking about 'motherf@@g nig@@s'. In contrast, a bit later we had Ed Sheeran. I may be viewed as an old fuddy duddy but this is a serious flaw in my eyes and needs reviewing by the hotel. Personally I would simply say, you get what you pay for. We are back in Sharm in September and staying at the Rixos next door. We wandered over to have a look and it seems in a totally different league. But to be fair its 3 times the price. My suggestion would be to pay the extra and have a better holiday.
