There are several Pickalbatros hotels in Egypt and there are also a few in and around Hurghada. This review is about the Pickalbatros Palace hotel in Hurghada, which is located right next to the Pickalbatros beach resort. We stayed in this hotel 6 days around New Year's Eve, after a liveaboard on the Red Sea with the Scuba Scene. It's quite a large hotel (at first glance, even a massive one). Fortunately, you quickly realize there's so much space and variety that you can choose/determine how much hustle and bustle/activity you want. There is something for everyone. Couples, families with children, those seeking peace and quiet, active types, old or young and from all over the world. Whether you prefer to relax somewhere in the back, enjoy the children's pool, the slides, the pool, or perhaps the beach, you'll always find a spot that suits you. The rooms (we had room 3441) are very comfortable and spacious. There's a good open closet with plenty of space for your belongings. There's also a safe. The bathroom is attractive and tidy, featuring a spacious walk-in shower, toilet, and sink. Large, soft towels and toiletries such as shampoo and shower gel are also provided. Everything is perfectly cleaned. A large, comfortable bed, a TV with lots of channels (yes even a Dutch one), coffee/tea making facilities, and a lovely (attached) balcony with a (sideways) sea view. To make clear, accept for the suites, none of all the rooms have a frontal sea view. We found "our" room 3441 to be a very pleasant and comfortable room. Great view, and afternoon sun on the balcony. Towels for the beach/pool can be picked up fresh every day with a ticket. There are plenty of sunbeds at the various pools, beach, and water park. At the end of December 2025, the hotel was fully booked, yet there was still plenty of choice. Excellent. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available in many places. There's a wide selection and plenty of it. The quality, taste, etc., are excellent. Most restaurant are buffet style. Some restaurants/places can feel crowded and even massive, but if you look around, you'll find plenty of more intimate spots. The Moroccan specialty restaurant TAGINE, with its top chef, is top-notch. Delicious food. Reservations are free via the app. We also thought the specialty fish restaurant CULINA was excellent. The chefs, kitchen staff, and service staff truly excelled at the New Year's dinner. We (with our fair share of travel experience) have rarely seen such a beautifully presented (dessert) buffet. What a selection, and how delicious it was. The resort has many places where you can enjoy a snack (hamburger, pancake, wrap, etc.), ice cream, or drink in various settings. There are also regular waiters who pop around to ask if you need anything. The bakery/pastry, with its delicious pastries, good coffee, and relaxed atmosphere, was a real treat for us. We'd like to specifically mention the friendly young French woman with long black hair, who always served there professionally and cheerfully. What a sweetheart. We hope she read this. SERVICE with a big SMILE. Yes, with a CAPITALS. All the staff are eager to help and think along with you. Asmaa (quest relations) is also a sweetheart, and she proactively stays in touch with you via WhatsApp or simply in person in the lobby. Thank you, Asmaa, for taking such good care of us, arranging tickets and good seats for the New Year's party, and all your kind messages and words. There's entertainment for children, a kids' club, and plenty for adults to do as well. There are also live performances and plenty to do in the evenings. Pickalbatros Palace hotel is a very spacious, well-maintained, and pleasant resort to stay at. You can also use the facilities (such as the dive center) at the adjacent Pickalbatros Beach resort. The New Year's party 2025/2026 in a separate "tent" was SUPER organized. Nice decorations, a light show with a few fireworks, excellent performances, and a great DJ. The crowd here is very diverse: families with children, couples, seniors, and young people of various nationalities. All in all, Pickalbatros Palace is a resort we'd love to return to.

We stayed at this hotel from January 3rd to January 10th, travelling from Lithuania as a group of four (two couples), and our experience was truly wonderful. From the very moment we arrived, we could already feel the true spirit of Egypt – stunning decorations, beautiful architecture, and warm, harmonious colors. The hotel is very large and offers absolutely everything one might need, making it perfect for all ages, from families with children to seniors. The entire property is impeccably clean and well-maintained – everything is perfectly organized and tidy. We especially appreciated the clear rules and respect for order, which ensured a calm and peaceful atmosphere with no nighttime noise. What impressed us the most was the staff.❤️ We would like to express our deepest gratitude and highest respect to the entire team. Their care, kindness, and sincerity truly touched us. Every employee is smiling, friendly, positive, helpful, and highly professional. It is clear that they work very hard and for long hours, and yet they always make time for every guest. We are incredibly thankful for their efforts and dedication. They notice every person and are always ready to help — you can receive assistance from anyone, even the gardener, who will gladly help if needed. We sincerely hope that the management highly values their hard work and that every guest appreciates their dedication as much as we do.
