We travelled as a couple towards the end of January purely for a weeks holiday in the sunshine and were very impressed. The location just a stones throw from the beach is perfect, plenty of sunbeds with a beach bar and waiter service. This is a laid back hotel for those who are seeking a relaxing break, and caters for them excellently. We chose a deluxe pool view room which was outstanding in terms of size, decor and cleanliness, it had a large balcony and was very peaceful. The food, especially in the main restaurant area was outstanding, I don't see how anyone could describe it as anything other than that. There are snacks available outside during the day and even late night options from 11pm till 1. All the staff were friendly and helpful, but I would like to say a particular thank you to Mohamed on reception, who helped us on numerous occasions especially with arrangements for my partners birthday. Also Mahmoud who made sure our room was always spotless. Ignore comments about any noise and dirt in the area, there is none, yes there is plenty of building work going on locally but nothing that impacts on the hotel. If I could make a small criticism the evening entertainment could be improved, but as I said the majority of guests are just looking for a quiet escape. All in all I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, the standards and service are everything that you would hope for.

Amazing hotel. I would love to come back. Lovely hotel suited in a premium location at Sahl Hashing. Access to their own private beach right in front. Heated pools. Luxurious interiors. All inclusive package provides access to excellent food and beverage varieties throughout the day. Staff were brilliant especially Ibrahim at the reception who went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable! Thank you so much Ibrahim.

“Great holiday with some reservations”

We have just returned from an enjoyable 10 day holiday at this hotel. This is our 4th visit to Egypt but the first time to this hotel. We have just returned from an enjoyable 10 day holiday at this hotel. This is our 4th visit to Egypt but the first time to this hotel. We have been to many AI resorts in many countries so I think we are able to judge it fairly and hopefully give a honest review for future first timers to this resort. The Hotel - Good hotel, very clean. Beds very large but we needed a mattress topper for comfort (which was swiftly provided). Bathroom towels were very good.   The Beach - Simply fantastic, easy access to the crystal clear warm water. No need for any footwear.  A few fish are scattered within the cordoned off swimming area but many more just outside the buoys. Sun beds are widely spaced and very comfortable. Towels are thick and large. The towel guys and drink servers are a credit to the hotel. For those who like to snorkel and swim amongst nature, walk left along the beach, go under the arches and after a total distance of around 600m you will come to the "sunken city" - swim out a few yards and stand on the submerged concrete plinths and you will be astounded by the variety of fish in size and colours Ground level outdoor Pool - Heated but surprisingly small for a hotel of this size. Not sure why anyone would use this in preference to the beach. Roof top pool  - freezing Main Buffet restaurant -  One recent reviewer has said " food like you have never eaten before",  in our case that is mostly true!!!!   Breakfasts weren't too bad but the choice of food for the evening meals was for us 'meat eating Brits' very disappointing.  We would always expect to find various offerings of chicken in creamy sauces, lamb ragout etc.   Considering the hotel appeared to be running at 50% capacity or less, what I did find surprising is how often the hot food tureens/dishes ran out of food. If space is a problem than why not reduce the space allotted to bread/cakes etc and increase the number of hot food dishes. How much bread can anyone eat? Speciality Restaurants - We ate on two occasions each in the Italian, Asian and Indian restaurants - quite simply the food was sensational. Ambience inside was slightly lacking due to some people eating outside but that was our choice.  Lunchtime Snack Bar  (a much better alternative than the main restaurant) -  The choice of burgers and the quality of them was exceptional. A very pleasant way to spend an hour or so whilst the staff entertained with their humour and the constant supply of drinks. Thank you to you all. This was also a great place to while away the time after our day in the sun. Lots of tables and chairs were conducive to chatting to strangers. Bar close to main reception.  A pleasant place to spend time before your evening meal. However, as almost all the tables were set up with 2 chairs and spaced well apart, it was rather quiet and difficult to converse with strangers  - Note to Management - ensure all tables have 4 chairs to create a pleasant social atmosphere. In addition the Cocktail menu is rather lacking in variety - No Tequila Sunrise was a big disappointment!!  Evening Entertainment - It was OK. Usually consisted of some dancers before the main singing act started.  So in conclusion, we enjoyed our time and we are likely to visit Egypt again as the weather is so good at this time of year, however we will choose another area as we like to explore,

The hotel shows its age in many places. Egypt isn’t known for high class finishes but this hotel needs work in many of the rooms. Public spaces are very clean and tidy offering luxury looking fixtures. Broken blind and a cracked sink in our room ! We booked through TUI an eleven night stay here with mountain city views. The views were of mountains of rubbish and walls. Unhappy we paid for an upgraded room which we thought the hotel was wanting us to do from the start, making money from our stay so we moved. TUI refuse to compensate us for selling what was clearly marketed as a city Mountain View as it was our choice, even though they excepted that this is way below their standards because we didn’t tell the rep ! Be aware, the hotel probably put you in such rooms so they can upsell. This was mentioned whilst we sat in reception on arrival. Food, catering second to none. Alcohol in drinks is very very weak. Service by staff positive. Hotels all along front are under construction and noise and dirt can be expected, something that TUI failed to inform us about. Shame on you TUI
